1651 Second seal of the Commonwealth

Seal by Thomas Simon, Second Great Seal of the Commonwealth, 1651, a cast bronze uniface Counterseal (reverse) which measures 146 mm, and weights 503.95 grams (Nathanson p.21; Vertue pl. vii; Birch 599)
Very fine, most attractive with a small piercing at the top for suspension. A truely fantastic and huge tangible piece.
