Charles I (1625 - 49), Oxford Mint (1642 - 46) 1644 Halfcrown, late Briot style horseman with rocky ground below, Oxford plume in field, initial mark lozenge and Shrewsbury plume. rev. declaration in two lines, one large central plume with two smaller either side and date and ox flanked by lozenges (S.2965; Bull 613G) weight 14.45 grams

What a coin! Deeply toned and an exceptional example and much as struck in our opinion.
