Charles I (1625 - 49) Tower mint under the king (1625 - 42) Fine Work Shilling, type 2b, crowned bust left, wearing ruff, value behind, rev. val scroll-garnished shield, ornate scrolls to upper half, plume above between C R, mm Plume ( S.2788; N.2222; Brooker 455 same dies; Sharp C2/4)

A piece of fine work, struck on a carefully prepared large round flan with an even grey tone and very rare. Authenticated and graded somewhat conservatively by NGC as Very Fine 35.
